Hi everyone,
I look forward to meeting you! On a more personal note, I'd love to briefly share about my personal journey, which has shaped me into the out and proud Latinx entrepreneur I identify as today.
I grew up in Orange County, California, raised by strong, loving, Latinas; these women - special shout out to my Mom, pictured on the right - taught me the importance of inclusion, empathy and the positive impact we can have on those around us.
Despite having a ton of great familial support, as a closeted kid, I struggled with internalized shame and anxiety due to societal pressures, toxic masculinity/machismo and a lack of queer representation. I did not see people like me thriving (or even existing). Representation matters.
In college, I gave myself permission to live authentically. I came out and started a new chapter where I stood in my truth, took up space intentionally and proved there was space for Gay and Latinx individuals. We add value. We matter. We can thrive.
